The FBLA-PBL National Awards Program recognizes
and rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related area. At
the State Leadership Conferences, students compete in events testing their
business knowledge and skills. Top state winners are then eligible to compete
for national awards at the National Leadership Conference each summer. At both
the SLC and NLC, member have a chance to earn scholarship money!

The 2009 National Leadership Conference was held in Anaheim, CA, in June. Students must have qualified to attend the conference by placing in the top two of their event at the State Leadership Conference which was held in Decatur in April.
Herrin students qualifying were Nicole Staples - Business Math, Kristy Gualdoni - Word Processing and Tyler Phillips - Technology Concepts.
This was an excellent achievement for an first-year club!!
