    This semester course is designed for the student who desires to improve his/her knowledge and skills in the are of woodworking for both career and hobby enhancement.  Units of instruction will emphasize use of hand tools, introduction to power machines, safety, wood products and information pertinent to woodworking.  Learning experience will be gained from hands-on laboratory-shop activities.  Students learn about careers related to wood working and how other content areas such as math and science are connected to woodworking.
